FUN DRINKS FOR KIDS                    Santa's special cocoa easy pudding shakes hot cocoa mix


The following recipes can be made with or without alcohol.

Banana Daiquiri

1 cut up banana
2 Tbsp. frozen pineapple juice
1 tsp. fresh lemon
1 cup crushed ice
2 oz rum - optional

In a blender, put in banana, pineapple juice, lemon juice and rum, blend till mixed good. Add crushed ice, a little at a time. Blend till smooth. Serves 2

Hawaiian Holiday

1 1/2 cup chilled pineapple juice
1 (8 1/4 oz) can crushed pineapple
1/4 cup canned cream of coconut
4 oz rum - optional

Mix pineapple juice, pineapple, cream of coconut and rum. Serve over ice cubes in tall glasses. Serve 4

Christmas Punch

2 pt. cranberry juice
2 (1 qt.) cans pineapple juice
1 cup lemon juice
3 cups sugar
3 cups water (more if you wish)
2 qts. ginger ale
Red food coloring (optional)
5 0z vodka - optional

Mulled Cider

2 qt apple cider
2 cinnamon sticks
8 whole cloves
2 Tbsp. granulated sugar
Several small red apples
Cinnamon stick stirrers
4 oz rum

Simmer apple cider, 2 cinnamon sticks, whole cloves, and granulated sugar for 30 minutes. Discard cinnamon sticks and cloves, then pour in a heat proof serving bowl. Add several small apples studded with cloves. Serve hot, with cinnamon sticks as stirrers. Rum may be added if desired.

Zesty Punch Sipper

2 bottles ginger ale, chilled, 32-ounces each
6 cups pineapple or orange juice, chilled
1 (6 ounce) can frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed
1 orange, thinly sliced for garnish (optional)
1 lime, thinly sliced, for garnish (optional)

Combine all ingredients in a large punch bowl or two large pitchers. vodka may be added if desired

Sangria Blush

1 cup orange juice
1/2 cup sugar
1 bottle white Zinfandel wine (1.5 liters)
1/4 cup lime or lemon juice
1 orange thinly sliced and seeded
1 lime thinly sliced and seeded
20 ice cubes

Combine orange juice and sugar in a small pan. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until sugar is dissolved. Pour into 2 quart container with tight fitting lid. Add wine, lime juice and sliced fruits. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours for flavors to blend. Place ice cubes in a small punch bowl or large pitcher, pour wine over ice.

Sparkling white Sangria

1 cup light corn syrup
1 orange sliced
1 lemon sliced
1 lime sliced
1/2 cup orange flavored liqueur
1 bottle (750 ml) dry white wine
2 Tbsp. lemon juice
1 bottle club soda or seltzer, chilled
additional fruit - optional (grapes, pineapple)
In a large pitcher combine corn syrup, orange and lime slices and liqueur. Let stand 20 to 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in wine and juice. Refrigerate. Just before serving add soda and ice cubes, and any additional fruit.

Apple Cinnamon Cream Liqueur

1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
1 cup apple Schnapps
2 cups (1 pint) whipping cream or half and half
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon

In blender, combine all ingredients except ice. Blend until smooth. Serve over ice.

Mai Tai Slush

1 1/2 cups pineapple juice
1 pint lemon or lime sherbet
1 cup crushed ice
1/4 cup rum
2 Tbsp. orange liqueur
Lime slices

Combine all ingredients, except lime slices, in blender. Process till well blended. Pour into glasses and garnish with lime slices.


1 oz. Bailey's Irish Cream
1 oz. Vodka
1 oz. Tia Maria or Kahlua

Mix and serve

Santa's Special Malted cocoa

2 1/2 cups chocolate ice cream
1 1/2 cups milk
6 Tbsp. sugar
3 Tbsp. Cocoa
3 Tbsp. Carnation original Malted Milk Powder

In blender container, place all ingredients. Cover; blend until smooth. Serve immediately.

Easy Pudding Milk Shakes

3 cups cold milk
1 pkg. jello instant pudding and pie filling, any flavor
1 1/2 cups ice cream any flavor

Pour milk into blender, Add pudding mix and ice cream; cover. Blend at high speed for 30 seconds or until smooth. Pour into glasses. Serve immediately. Mixture thickens as it stands, add additional milk to thin. Makes a bout 5 cups.

Hot Cocoa Mix

1 cup creamora non dairy creamer
1 cup nonfat dry milk
3/4 cup to 1 cup sugar
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa

In medium bowl, combine ingredients; mix well. Store in airtight container. To serve, spoon 3 heaping Tbsp. mix into mug, add 3/4 cup boiling water. Stir.
